Abstract: The collection is composed of photographs of Altındağ District’s immovable culture heritage and an inventory made by the T.R. Ministry of Culture during the mentioned period. The survey has been continued with the research and identifications towards 24 districts of Ankara, excluding Altındağ.

Physical Access

VEKAM Ankara Immovable Cultural Heritage Collection materials are not physically present in the archive room. Researchers are not allowed to access the original materials.

Administrative/Biographic History

Ankara Immovable Cultural Heritage Inventory project was carried out by art historians Gökçe Günel, Müberra Günel, Nesibe Acar and Ahmet Bal between 1996-1998. In 2008 project outcomes were inventoried became a digital collection.

Note on Scope and Context

The collection is composed of photographs of Altındağ District’s immovable culture heritage and an inventory made by the T.R. Ministry of Culture during the mentioned period. As a result of the project, 633 immovable cultural heritage assets were identified, and their records were opened to access online.

Registrations are organized according to VEKAM Library and Archive Unit’s original order and provenance norms.
