The Scope of the Collection

This collection includes 145 issues of Antalya Newspaper published in Antalya.

Access and Use

Digital Access

The newspapers dated 1924-25 have been digitized and made accessible online.

 

Physical Access

Collection can be study by appointment in the Koç University Akmed Library in Antalya.

 

Material Request

According to the Koç University Suna Kıraç Library Digitization and Archives Directive, access to the archive documents in the AKMED Library collections is allowed and falls within specified exceptions. The usage is free of charge. You can submit your requests through the Library and Archive Material Request Form.

Acquisitions Information

The collection has been formed through the purchase of items from auction houses and individuals over time.

 

Digitization

The collection materials were digitized by GK Ozalit Company under the supervision of Koç University AKMED Library staff in 2019. They were scanned in full color at 300 dpi in TIFF format. JPEG derivative files for visual materials have been uploaded to CONTENTdm.

Description and Classification Information

The translation of newspapers from Ottoman Turkish to Turkish was carried out by Dr. Senem Gönenç in the years 2022-2023. The records were classified by the library senior specialist Remziye Boyraz Seyhan, and the entries into the digital object management system/ContentDM, as well as corrections and revisions, were completed by the branch librarian Emrullah Can in 2023. The collection was digitized in 2019.
