About Collection

The Koç University Collection of Institutional Memory (KU-CIM) was established in 2016 by Suna Kıraç Library Archives to preserve the history of Koç University since its foundation. The collection consists of photos, slides, and videos to record and document student life, academics, convocation ceremonies, constructions, board of Trustees and Overseers meetings, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, celebrations, campus buildings, and other highlights of campus life since the foundation of the University. Koç University was established as a non-profit institution in 1993 and moved to its permanent campus in Rumeli Feneri in 2000.

Since its foundation in 1969, Vehbi Koç Foundation (VKV), actively involved in education, health and culture as the most basic requirements of life, has started to take initiative to realize the university dream of the late Vehbi Koç after important investments such as Sadberk Hanım Museum, Atatürk Library and Koç Private High School.

Koç University has become one of Türkiye’s most popular universities in the last twenty years since its opening. Today with its academic programs in the Humanities and Literature, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Sciences, Engineering, Law and Medicine along with its Nursing School, Koç University serves with 22 undergraduate, 29 master’s and 30 doctoral programs and contribute to the scientific developments with its worldwide academicians.
